CLUB KY
Club KY is no more - the final KY took place Sept. 28th, 2003. All good things must come to an end and this seemed the right
time to *pull the plug*. That's not to say that KY is dead and gone forever or that it may not reinvent itself in other
shapes or forms. Thanks for all the support over the years and check back for updates. Cheers, Spike.

ABOUT CLUB K.Y.
Club K.Y. was an indie/punk/queer rock club in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Spike and our gang of rotating dj's spun the newest, loudest, and nastiest
sounds around
on vinyl, cd and mp3.
KY was started in April 2001 by Spike & Mike Trombley who were fed up with the
lack of queer clubs which catered for punks, rockers, indie kids, dykes and gender-benders, and
with the general apathetic tone of the San Francisco scene. Spike had
the idea after living in London and hanging out at Club V (originally
"Vaseline"). Kudos to
Sarit, Neil, Mel and Phil for their inspiration and *V*.
KY was run as a not-for-profit operation
and supports universal health care, the protection of our civil liberties,
a living wage for all, immigrant rights, social justice, freedom of choice
and fostering unity. We oppose military intervention, war, prejudice,
racism, homophobia, classism, sexism, ageism, gentrification, violence and police
brutality.

punk events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
